Biotech startup Nucleome Therapeutics has raised £37.5m in an oversubscribed Series A round to discover new medicines by decoding the human genome. The investment will be spent on Nucleome’s autoimmune disease programmes alongside further research and development. The startup uses machine learning to predict disease-linked genetic variants that “create and destroy functional elements in the dark genome”.
